Scholarship

The Milwaukee Chapter 41 of the American Society of Women Accountants grants up to two scholarships each year to women students who are majoring in Accounting and attending a Wisconsin school.

One scholarship for $500 will be awarded to a woman in a two-year program who will be entering or is already in her second year in the coming spring semester.  This is payable in one installment at the beginning of the spring semester.  The application deadline for this two-year scholarship is November 1, 2012 and will be paid by January 2013.  The successful candidate will be notified no later than early January 2013.

Another scholarship for $1,500 will be awarded to a woman in a four-year program who will be entering her undergraduate senior year in the Fall 2013 semester.  This scholarship is payable in two installments: Fall 2013 & Spring 2014.  The application deadline for this 4-year scholarship is November 30, 2012.  The successful candidate will be notified in January 2013.

Applicants for both scholarships are judged on grades, extracurricular activities, life experience and essay.  Upon selection, payment is contingent upon the recipient providing proof of enrollment for the upcoming semester, academic level at that time from the previous semester and maintaining personal conduct at the school she attends.  Only the award recipient need supply this corroborating documentation.  An application is all that is needed at this time.

The scholarship recipients will be expected to attend one of our monthly meetings that are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Radisson Hotel in Milwaukee as our guest.  No notice will be sent to the remaining applicants.

Only fully completed and signed applications will be considered.  The 2012 Scholarship Application can be downloaded and submitted to the Scholarship Chair as listed below.
